About the Event
Purpose:
· Practice working under the Environment Protection Act
· Update on s121(6) and interpretation of the definition of ‘Occupier’
· Update on rogue clothing bin operators special interest group
· Update on the outcomes and future actions of the Illegal Waste Forum
Overview:
Members will present case studies to demonstrate how they are using the Environment Protection Act 2017 approximately 4 months in. Previous issues raised at LEON meetings will be addressed, including a discussion on s121(6) and interpretations of the definition of 'Occupier' from Basil Stafford, Elliott Stafford & Associates. Attendees will receive and update on rogue clothing bin operators and the outcomes of the special interest group held to discuss future approaches to rogue operators. Finally, attendees will receive an update on the outcomes and future actions of the Illegal Waste Forum.
